Why Hypnosis?

Hello, my name is Jessica Gutierrez. I am certified in Clinical and Medical hypnotherapy. I am here today to share with you why I believe hypnosis is the future of healing and why it's the most effective way to heal and rebuild the mind. Hypnosis works directly with the subconscious mind, the subconscious mind is the part of our brain that isn't currently in focused awareness. Within the subconscious mind, we have modules. These modules are internal representations of everything we have ever experienced. The subconscious mind uses these images, memories, and experiences to shape our personality and who we are to the world, these modules are called The Cognitive Maps. The cognitive maps function as a subconscious tool for decision making, reasoning and in helping navigate our daily lives, such as our behavior, who we are, and how we act.   They are also responsible for regulating emotions and short-term memory. Most people, at some point, have tried to make permanent behavi...

Self Sabotage.

Stop sabotaging yourself from greatness, stop letting your inner conflicts stop you from what your heart desires. It's so hard to get out your head, It's when you start telling you self that maybe this is not for you, maybe its not the right time, maybe you blame it on external things like  for example "I don't have enough money" "I don't have enough time" or maybe you feel like you have a lot going on that you don't see your goals and personal achievements as important and your overload makes those goals seem very very far.  You are in control of your mind, you have to align with your self, let go of what no longer resonates with you, let go of people that are around you that show you negative energy let go of what does not bring you peace.  It is okay to put your self first, make a time for you that is not negotiable, for anyone and focus on what you love and your goals. Also, stop stopping your self from closing the deal, ...

Parts Therapy

"Parts is parts" like Dr. Crow says", he is my instructor and my mentor for Hypnotherapy. Parts therapy recognizes that there are different parts of the self, the way that individuals can process thinking, process feelings and act differently, recognizes the idea that humans have different aspects of themselves. With these different internal parts we can address inner conflicts, address trauma and understand self sabotage. Understanding that we all have different personalities that are with us everyday will help you to be more open to tapping into these different "parts of you" and being able to understand yourself in a deeper internal way. It might sound weird at first I know, but it has been proven that we do in fact have different parts of ourselves that act differently, think differently and feel differently. In parts therapy we integrate these parts by asking questions, we ask questions after a mod...

Overcome Addiction with Hypnosis

What is addiction, addiction is a persistent and intense urge to engage in a behavior that produces a natural reward, not acknowledging substantial harm and or other negative consequences. According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, "Genetics can also increase the likelihood of an addiction by about 50 percent." Drug abuse acts on the brain's reward system intergrading within a gene that regulates the activity of dopamine. Epigenetic change may happen altering the gene expression, when stress comes along it can trigger the development of addiction, as it can also induce the relapse with drug and alcohol recovery. The brain eventually changes, and adapts as it becomes dependent of the substance being used. DNA methylation is a process were methyl groups are added to the DNA molecule. This can be carried and felt throughout generations keeping a regular person at high risk of having an addiction of some sort not even understanding where the urge comes from.. U...

The battle within

We all have something going on within us that we tell no one about, we struggle with ourselves to move past certain events, things or people. Its a struggle isn't it? doing great and all of a sudden there it goes again, we re-visit places in our minds that get repressed because of a very strong feeling that we associated our selves with during that time that sometimes a part of us gets stuck in time, not purposely but because it touched your deeper self. Its okay not to be okay sometimes, we all go through moments of self reflection and alone time, it is important to acknowledge the fact that you are going through something and that you respect yourself enough to give your self space from everything around you that disturbs that peace. Not letting no one in your energy, giving yourself the space to be, and to clearly feel what you are suppose to feel to be able to understand it , we are always learning and the tough moments are usually the ones that help us learn a new part of ou...

Understanding Change

Do not fear change, instead welcome it. your highest good is craving to be and it can not be if you don't make space for the new, letting go.. with peace... to welcome positive new things. When you hold back it disturbs your inner peace and takes away your freedom. Taking you towards constant thought of you battling with yourself.  We must release the past and let go of what no longer serves you, this gives you selflove. When you know, you know and if you listen to your heart and let go of what disturbs your peace you will be respecting your self, loving your self and most importantly listening to your self, listening to yourself is the biggest form of self love that there is. When you welcome change and you no longer fear it, you start living in your purpose and with intention,  because now you not only know but you understand.. you understand that aligning your values and goals creates a more meaningful fulfilling life, you understand that your Gods plan is bigger than...

Unknowingly in hypnosis

Did you know that everyday we all get into some type of hypnosis unknowingly? Yes, it is very easy to slip into a trance-like state throughout our day. Has it ever happened to you that when driving you arrive at your destination without really remembering the details of the journey there? Guess what, you were in a trance like state very similar to that of hypnosis, where your brain started to slow down leading to reduced attention and awareness.. Another example is when your reading an engaging book, you slip into different type of trace-like state that shifts your consciousness making you feel like your being absorbed in an inner experience engaged into the story your reading. I always use the example of day dreaming, when we day dream we focus our attention in our mind turning inward from the external world, using our imagination and deeply feeling what we are seeing. Hypnosis is like a trance like state , it is in our everyday life in different forms it is just a matter of unde...

Right Brain Meditation

In my practice with hypnosis I've learned that hypnosis is not only used for working on traumas or reframing the mind but it does so much more while stimulating the subconscious. Check this out, the right brain is used for creativity, imagination, intuition, art and emotions. In hypnosis your brain slowly turns into Alpha waves slowing down to Theta waves eventually in some cases flowing into Delta waves like being in a deep deep sleep, this is where restoration happens. where the body restores body cells, where the body heals the cuts in your body, this is where the body digest the food in your stomach and where the immune system resets, this is where the magic happens. This is why studies show that being 15 minutes in hypnosis is equivalent to 4 hours asleep, because you get deep in a meditative state that stimulates your body to do a "reset", feeling more calm and rested. So what if you tapped into this for 15 minutes each day? Imagine how much your life will change, y...
