Right Brain Meditation

In my practice with hypnosis I've learned that hypnosis is not only used for working on traumas or reframing the mind but it does so much more while stimulating the subconscious. Check this out, the right brain is used for creativity, imagination, intuition, art and emotions. Post-Traumatic Stress- Disorder (PTSD)

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mental health condition that can develop after something traumatic happens in your life, it can include anxiety, anxiety attacks, certain reactions, flashbacks, it can also cause negative thought patterns, it can develop negative beliefs and it can change your way of life. People who have experienced a traumatic event may continue to feel sad, scared, anxious or angry time after the event, this can cause problems sleeping, eating, concentrating or living in the present moment. PTSD can happen in any moment of our lives, it is important to know when you have these symptoms so you can work on them and help yourself overcome them, or of course to seek medical attention. When adults have PTSD from childhood it can go unnoticed until as adults we start to notice our own actions and we start recognizing patters, like being anxious in certain situations, having difficulty with relationships, emotional dysregulation, like emotional numbness, avoiding places,...

Finding emotional balance.

      It is very important to balance your emotions, unbalanced emotions are associated with dysfunctions significantly impacting daily life, relationships and your career if not balanced they can disturb how you think, how you make decisions, how you act or react and they can even disturb your body organs causing irregular functions. Emotions at times can cause discomfort, pain or high levels of stress/anxiety, this sensation that is felt within the body causes the body to manifest an illness. This is why the word dis-ease is used to describe the imbalance and disharmony in the body, typically representing a disruption in the natural flow of your energy and your well-being. Some examples are, anger effects the liver, fear unbalances the kidneys, sadness can impact the lungs, stress impacts the gastrointestinal tract (stomach) . Move passed the past.

   When we talk about moving passed the past we talk about moving forward by emotionally or psychologically overcoming a difficulty, by forgiving and understanding the circumstances that happened. This can be because you have had a negative experience or a traumatic event in your life. If we let the past hold us back we will not be able to live in the present, we will be stuck in a timeline where certain events happened and we will not be able to open up to new experiences. Of course that our pain and certain experiences have shaped who we are today however, letting something that is no longer happening still be a part of your mind stops you in many ways, it can keep you stuck in negative emotions and cause you to have limiting beliefs. It's time for a dopamine detox.

            Yes, It is time to focus on what really matters. First of all what is dopamine, it is a chemical messenger in the brain which helps with motivation and reward-seeking feelings affecting certain moods and other bodily functions. Dopamine gives you pleasurable and satisfactory feelings which causes you to feel happy and or motivated. Now, what do I mean when I say that it is time for a dopamine detox? I mean to take a break for yourself from everything around you that gives you a satisfactory feeling knowing that it is not all "good" experiences. For example, when you get a dopamine hit it is because it has been released due to a pleasurable experience, in this case you will intentionally avoid activities that trigger this release like, social media, YouTube, binge-watching, porn, junk food, video games, shopping. etc. By decreasing that instant gratification you start to let the brain's reward system reset, improving focus and reducing cravi...

Staying Positive.

          Have the courage to know who you are! When you know your self you know what's for you and what's not, you respect your self. Stop ignoring your boundaries, write down the most important boundaries for you, be as clear as you can be, ask your self what are some things that are non-negatable to you?, where do you draw the line at? This, is where you start before you apply the actions of doing, this is because you have to be sure of the type of relationship you have with yourself to be able to defend who you are and be able to cut of everything if it doesn't resonate with you, be firm with your self so you can be firm with your actions.  Now, stop chasing approval or validation of others, this causes weakness in your confidence because it drains the ability to decide for yourself and you lose trust in yourself.  You have to make firm decisions for yourself, if you don't know how here are some tips: -  Validate yourself morning and nigh...

Love Yourself

If you put everything and everybody before you, read this. These are some tips that you can do to start putting your self first. You too deserve to be loved so love yourself the way that you love others, One thing you can start with is stop saying yes to everything. When you always say yes when people need you, you make yourself available all the time which eventually makes people start taking advantage of the fact that your always available. Stop feeling like your going to miss out on something, stop making other peoples things more important just because your not sure of what's important to you, when you feel this your never going to take your things serious because your going to always try to be everywhere with everybody, this leaves you no room to work on the things that truly matters to you. Take a 5 minute break today.

     It is important to cut off the noise around you once in a while. There is always going to be something else to shift your attention to, social media, videos, gaming, drugs, people. It is important that your mind gets a break from all the out side noise to be able to help you refocus. When you start to dissociate and have mental discipline on what's good and what's not good to consume you start to notice different parts of yourself that otherwise you would not have seen. Deep breathing while you have your eyes closed really helps to calm down unwanted anxiety. When we give ourselves some time without consuming everything around us we start to tap in to our hippocampus and the frontal lobes of the brain helping us focus for longer periods of times while being more receptive to learning. Positive things to say to your kids daily.

It is very important how you talk to your children, we talk to them daily so here are a few things you can say to them to plant seeds of positivity in their mind. This will help them be more confident, more self assured, more self secure, they will trust their gut and be able to make choices with a clear positive mind. As parents we have to plant positivity where we do have a little more control.  Ask your self, what's unique to him/her? Example: Hair, smile, eyes,  Compliment them on how nice it is, how nice it looks,  Your smile lights up a room.  Your ideas are so brilliant. You are very thoughtful in the way that you communicate.  Your laugh lights up my heart.  Your words are so powerful.
