Unknowingly in hypnosis

 Did you know that everyday we all get into some type of hypnosis unknowingly? Yes, it is very easy to slip into a trance-like state throughout our day. Has it ever happened to you that when driving you arrive at your destination without really remembering the details of the journey there? I always use the example of day dreaming, when we day dream we focus our attention in our mind turning inward from the external world, using our imagination and deeply feeling what we are seeing. Hypnosis is like a trance like state , it is in our everyday life in different forms it is just a matter of understanding it and becoming aware when it is happening. Hypnosis is more of a structured and controlled process aiming at a specific therapeutic outcome, it is a altered state of awareness increased by relaxation, focused attention leading inward and positive detailed suggestibility. During hypnosis we encourage the body to activate its natural state of relaxation using words, mental imagery slowing down your breathing helping you engage your attention for therapeutic purposes.
