Chemotherapy and Hypnosis

Professionals in the filed of hypnosis believe that calmness and tranquility allow the immune system to function better and at a higher healthier rate,  assisting the fight against cancer. For this reason learning self hypnosis and the use of hypnosis for cancer patients can be a very valuable therapeutic tool. Interacting with the mind though vivid imagery enhances the brains ability to see and feel in real life time, therefore improving the function of the body, cells and the immune system. Psychoneuroimmunology describes a field of study that focuses on comprehensive interactions between the brain, the nervous system and the immune system. It explains further in detail how psychological factors such as stress, carrying heavy emotions and certain behaviors can influence the bodies immune response and overall health.  Depression and loneliness (vs- social support) also seem to be linked to diseases like cancer.

Building good rapport with the patient is essential, encouraging the patient to let go of strong unresolved feelings/trauma may also help in enhancing the bodies ability to fight and/or prevent cancer. Please note, it is important to understand that hypnosis offers hope and treatment symptom relief options, it is not a direct cure to cancer, rather it may help alleviate cancer symptoms like nausea, fatigue and also potentially benefit the patient in other areas.

The patient is in control at all times, one can only be hypnotized to the extent they allow themselves to be. Being in hypnosis takes practice, it doesn't just happen, it takes practice to be able to quite down the mind enough to be able to enter a relaxed state deep enough to reach the subconscious. Hypnosis has to be something the patient deliberately wants to experience, when the patient practices these techniques and repeatedly uses hypnosis they start to notice and see results, shifting the minds responses with repetition. Understandably learning self-hypnosis and/or listening to pre-recorded audios is essential to the healing process. Committing to feeling better rather than enduring the pain until the pain is unbearable may be a better option on helping yourself and your body to feel better. Giving hypnosis the opportunity to assist you as a tool will help you and give you encouragement in difficult situations.   Don't let hypnosis be a reminder that you have cancer instead see it as a tool to alleviate unwanted symptoms, you are in control of your body and your own thoughts, with practice hypnosis helps to ease the symptoms of chemo for you not focus on those anxious feelings of discomfort.

Going through chemotherapy can be hard on the body and it can also have a mental impact on the patients mental health. During these sessions we focus on the part of the body that the cancer was believed to have started in, this way we take back control from the starting point and we can spread the healing through the body, slowly transforming the damaged cells into healthy cells. With repetition and by using imagery we persuade each gene to work properly, stopping the spread of the cancer cells through the blood causing starvation to the tumors of their blood supply helping to stop the cancer cells to spread. Each time the patient uses hypnosis for visualization the neuro pathways become stronger, as they become stronger your brain starts to shift those pathway and becomes more adaptive to responding as if what your imagining is in the present moment, your brain begins to modify these neuropathways to better adapt to the positive suggestibility provided during a session helping you alleviate these symptoms of discomfort.

Going through chemotherapy is not easy, not only does one have to be physically strong but also mentally strong. If you or someone you know is going through this tell them about hypnosis and how it can assist their symptoms, maybe you will be their lucky charm because you shared valuable information the hypnosis is here to help and that it actually works naturally.

Audios will be available for purchase soon!
