Take a 5 minute break today.

    It is important to cut off the noise around you once in a while. There is always going to be something else to shift your attention to, social media, videos, gaming, drugs, people. It is important that your mind gets a break from all the out side noise to be able to help you refocus. When you start to dissociate and have mental discipline on what's good and what's not good to consume you start to notice different parts of yourself that otherwise you would not have seen. Deep breathing while you have your eyes closed really helps to calm down unwanted anxiety. When we give ourselves some time without consuming everything around us we start to tap in to our hippocampus and the frontal lobes of the brain helping us focus for longer periods of times while being more receptive to learning. It is not easy to take some time off everything that has to be handled in the physical realm however, you are in control and yes, it is necessary, it helps reduce stress, fear and anxiety even depression while enhancing peace, perception self concept and well being.  So today take a break, to breath, to calm your mind and increase your oxygen levels in the blood. You'd be glad you did, if you have not done that today do it right now. Close your eyes and inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth, repeat this process focusing on the sensation of your breath, do this 5 times.
